Area Attractions
One of the seven natural wonders of the world, no National Park is quite as spectacular as the Grand Canyon. Attractions fill the park, but be sure not to miss the many monuments and other natural wonders that surround the area as well.
Most of the Canyon lies within Grand Canyon National Park and incorporates three geographically separated areas: the South Rim, the North Rim and the inner canyon. More than four million visitors each year come to the Grand Canyon to enjoy the fantastic views from the various lookout areas along the rim, to hike the magical rim trail or to take a hike into the belly of the cavern. Rafting is a popular activity on the Colorado River as it winds its way along the bottom of the steep, deep canyon walls. The South Rim is the location of the IMAX Theater and the National Geographic Visitor Center. Activities abound at the Grand Canyon.
